Some of them cost less than £20 per

ABOUT US

The company was established in April 2005 to provide low-cost high-quality expert advice to all types of organisations concerned with business continuity and emergency planning. The services are delivered in the main by Patrick Cunningham, sometimes supported by other vastly experienced and credible resilience professionals.

Patrick Cunningham, himself has 22 years experience in resilience work. He has provided advice to academic institutions, airports, banks, central government departments, colleges, community health organisations, fire services, general practitioners, hospitals, industrial sites, libraries, local authorities, mental health partnership trusts, police forces, ports, primary care trusts, retail outlets, and voluntary organisations. He has created a wide range of emergency plans, business continuity plans, and training courses. He has been involved in the operational response to several major incidents, including fuel shortages, water shortages, foot-and-mouth, flooding, transport accidents, and reception of foreign evacuees.

Patrick is a Fellow of the Emergency Planning Society and a Member of the Business Continuity Institute. He has a first Degree in Humanities, a Masters Degree in Business Administration, and a 7307 Teacher Training Certificate.

Patrick was the Chief Emergency Planning Officer for County Durham and Darlington for ten years. He is also the former Chairman of the UK Emergency Planning Society. He led the Society’s input into discussions with the Home Office, Cabinet Office, and Office of the Deputy Prime Minister with regard to the progress of the Civil Contingencies Bill. He is the only practitioner to have been called to give expert evidence to both the House of Commons Defence Committee and the House of Lords/House of Commons Joint Scrutiny Committee on the Draft Civil Contingencies Bill.

Patrick has also been an Emergency Planning Advisor to the Local Government Association (funding portfolio), and contributed to NHS BS2599 on behalf of the Department of Health.

Patrick is also an Associate Lecture of the Emergency Planning College, delivering courses on Creating Emergency Plans, Emergency Shelter and Evacuation Plans, Preparing Plans for COMAH, and Validating Emergency Plans.
